BTTF Car Comic Relief Red Nose Day 2021 BTTF Musical
The BTTF Car appeared on the BBC 1 Comic Relief 2021 to support The Back the the Future The Musical.
We had to head back up to Media City in Manchester, but this time it was different, Covid was here.
The BBC Studio was empty, no audience, a skeleton crew to set up and film.
Everyone had to wear masks and keep their distance.
Unfortunately Doc Brown (Roger Bart) was back in America, but joined the show by the magic of Zoom !
This didn’t stop Olly Dobson and Hugh Coles performing “Put your mind to it’ with the full routine from the Westend Show.
Other cast members joined for the classic ‘Power of Love’. Doc Brown can be seem bopping along on the screen.
The rear of the stage screens featured fans from around the world linked in by the power of Zoom to watch the show remotely.
It seemed very strange after doing Sport Relief 2020 in the very same studio with Covid restrictions in place.
The show was hosted by Sir Lenny Henry, Davina McCall, Paddy McGuinness, David Tennant and Alisa Dixon.
Comic Relief raises Million of pounds each show and the BTTF Car was proud to be a part of it.
